I’m sitting at my new desk in the sun, listening to Jake Xerxes Fussell’s ‘16-20’ and reflecting on how the winter grey has shifted into early spring. With this shift, I feel inspired to share some upcoming events and plans for the months ahead.
New (Temporary) Studio
For the past month, since my return from Brazil, I have been struggling to find structure and discipline while working from home. So, I’m incredibly excited to share that for March, I will be working from Amber Bardell's studio at Hamilton House while they take a much-deserved break in Greece. This space will offer me the context to keep creating and exploring my practice.
I’m still on the lookout for my next permanent space. If you know of something with lots of natural light, please let me know!

Women by Women.2
For the second year in a row, Sanni Pyhänniska has curated the incredible Women by Women exhibition in celebration of International Women's Day. This year, I was invited to sit alongside 20 artists and reflect on my experience as a woman in this world. I have taken this opportunity to share a body of work that I began exploring during my residency at Joya:Air back in 2023 and have continued to develop since my return from Brazil.
There’s a vulnerability that comes with placing oneself at the center of their practice. However, having sat with these images for over a year, I now feel ready to share them.
Exhibition details:
Private View: Friday, 7th March, 6-9pm
Open Exhibition: 8th - 12th March, 11am - 6pm
Location: Centrespace, Bristol
Would love to see you there!

Communal Cloth @ Women by Women.2
Join me for a meditative stitch session, where many hands come together to stitch onto one cloth. This is an opportunity to slow down, connect to your creativity, and switch off from the outside world. The cloth will sit amongst the beautiful art of Women by Women.2, with an open invitation to ground ourselves in our community.
Drop in, stitch with us, and be part of this shared experience. Bring a notebook for reflection; all other materials will be provided.
Drop-in sessions:
Sunday, 9th March: 11am - 2:30pm
Tuesday, 11th March: 2:30pm - 6pm

Ana Clark Ribeiro x WMN Magazine
Back in 2024, I had the privilege of being invited to be featured in WMN Magazine. Mercedes visited my studio and we shared such a beautiful moment reflecting on creativity, community, and Bristol. Here's an excerpt of the interview which is now published on WMN Meets:
“Textile and not fashion. What´s the difference?
I always like to distinguish between the two—fashion is often about trends and the industry, while textiles and cloth focus on exploring materiality and identity. Textiles are deeply connected to human behaviour. Every culture around the world has a unique relationship with cloth and clothing, which I find endlessly fascinating.”

Communal Cloth @ Arnolfini
In the coming months, I will return to the Arnolfini as part of the Spring/Summer Gatherers program, hosting more Communal Cloth sessions within the incredible gallery space.
Upcoming sessions:
Wednesday, 19th March: 3pm - 5pm
Wednesday, 16th April: 3pm - 5pm
Wednesday, 14th May: 3pm - 5pm
Looking forward to sharing this space with you all!

This is all for now, I'll keep you updated on more soon.
